Hey Dudes. This is my second time playing in Amanda's series and I got to say I love it its probably the best series I have played in so far. My strategy this time was to lay low and rely on my social game to get by. I played hard enough in immunity challenges so that I was just valuable enough to be kept around, but not so much that I would be a threat at the merge. If anything this season has shown, if your a big target, your bound to be shot down and this happened to some of my most loyal allies in this game. I made an alliances with many of the biggest targets in this game, Steph, Monica Brett and Sierra and they ultimately were the targets, not me.
When I was the on Aarde tribe after the second switch up, Heidi and JT came after me and Sierra used her vote changer to save me. After that, she instantly became one of my most loyal allies in the game and we worked together a lot since, trying to protect each other when we were threatened. I couldn't bring myself to betray someone who saved my ass so wonderfully, sending Heidi home instead of me.
I think I played a loyal game and haven't lied, but you think otherwise please let me know in your questions!
I have to say some words about my opponents:
Sierra: Sierra you are such an interesting character. You played a pretty wild game, you made very good use of your immunity idol and forged friendships via using your rewards. That is a very good strategy. You were always a very good contender in the challenges as well.
However, for an alliance partner, it is very difficult to work with you sometimes! Your extremely indecisive and go back and forth on decisions all the time, thinking with charged emotions instead of your brain, and sometimes with a few budweisers. You also have a big mouth, one that is an extreme detriment to your game. When someone trusts you with a secret, you can almost never keep it ( half the jury nods their head).
Everyone knew about your idol the second you got it you told Rob, not a smart move. When you attempted to blindside Steph, you told the some jury members about the plan in the middle of the night, Fortunately for you, they kept their jury code of honor and did not tip Steph off of the plan. One round I had shared my answers for the immunity with you ( the Scavenger Hunt) to help you win so you could preserve the Idol, but not only do you tell Monica I did that for no reason, revealing your alliance to me, you also told Monica I warned you about her gunning for you,, potentially making me possibly your most loyal ally a target to go home that round!
I think your strategic game and social game was somewhat flawed, but you did make great use of your Idol and played great in the challenges to preserve yourself to the finals
Austin: I view you as an under the radar type player. You were very much the floater of the season, not really belonging to any alliance but you made it through because bigger targets had emerged themselves, and when the smoke cleared and battle was over, you remained standing, although not totally unblemished, you usually took a vote or 2. I have yet to see what you really did to deserve the title of Soul Survivor for this game, what your strategic game was, social game etc. I thought that Rob was a bigger threat then you from hearsay and the fact he had won so many immunities. You're a very nice guy though, and that could earn you some votes because I don't think anyone is extremely angry with you on the jury.
I believe of the 2 other finalists, I played the most well balanced game. I wasn't a item finder like Sierra, only possessing a double vote the whole game So I couldn't make major power plays, but I know when to talk and when to shut up, and I don't feel I overtly lied to anyone's face like Sierra. I sort of hid under the radar a like Austin, letting the big threats take shots at each other, but unlike I Austin I wasn't floater, I did have alliances and I did in fact win 2 immunities. Thats my argument vote for who you think played the best game and no hard feelings.
